FESTIVAL PREVIEW: Bingley Music Live 2018 – Sunday’s Top Picks

Once again, Bingley Music Live is back to see out the festival season with an array of great acts across three days in the beautiful setting of the Yorkshire hills. We’re heading down for the final day on Sunday, and with so many great bands to see in so little time, we thought it best to narrow down the key viewing for the day.

PEACE

With three solid albums under their belt, the B-Town four-piece’s live set is stronger than ever and they will grace the main stage with their indie rock anthems in the late afternoon. Expect to hear stompers such as ‘You Don’t Walk Away From Love’ and ‘Wraith,’ alongside the irresistible grooves of ‘Get Lost On Me’ and ‘World Pleasure’.

BRYDE

The project of Sarah Howells (previously of Paper Aeroplanes), Bryde is raw, powerful and charismatic music. Her website mentions influences of PJ Harvey, Ben Howard and Sharon Van Etten and that is reflected in the result. Howells’ voice can grow from a whisper to a full on kick in the face in an instant and she keeps you hooked with driving rhythms, introspective lyrics and big, big choruses. Bryde is undeniably going to be a Sunday highlight, be sure to make some time for this and thank yourself later.

REDFACES

Hailing from Sheffield, RedFaces’ music is deeply rooted in guitar-heavy indie rock and songs such as ‘Take It Or Leave It’ prove they’ve got the material and ambition that could see them headlining festivals in the not so distant future. They’ve had a summer packed with festival appearances including All Points East, Tramlines, Boardmasters and Y Not, and they’re going to wrap it all up at Bingley. With Radio 1 heavily backing their releases, it’s only a matter of time until these guys really explode.

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS

What needs to be said? Arguably the no-brainer of the weekend. Whichever your Gallagher brother of choice, there’s no denying this will be a real treat, from the High Flying Birds’ new psychedelic direction to the monumental Oasis anthems.  This is going to be a musical feast that will see the weekend out with a bang. Be There Now.
