Dorine Levy releases her latest track ‘Feelings’ as a wickedly haunting second instalment from her new EP ‘Mima’.
This track showcases a new intensity to Dorine’s version of indie pop. Sombre guitar licks are overlain with blinking flashes of distorted synths and anguished, almost mournful, vocals.
The introspective and pensive mood the song draws upon is reflected in how Dorine describes her inspiration for the track: “Feelings is a song I wrote while visiting my hometown Montreal, last year. It’s about mind and soul loops: I was sure I had moved on from something but reality showed me differently. It felt like I was starting all over again but that’s the loop’s illusion; we never stay on the same spot, only our thoughts do.”
Having already received support from MTV, Indie Shuffle and Shortlist as well as BBC 6 Music, it’s no wonder this rising star continues to see success with tunes like this.
