Track of the Day

TRACK OF THE DAY: Pace – ‘Through Your Fingers’

London Alt-Pop three piece, Pace are dreaming of sunny horizons on their latest offering, ‘Through Your Fingers’. A cheery, bouncy affirmation of young blossoming love set to a backdrop of luscious, warm brass parts, stop/start guitars and a laid back swung drum beat.

Despite clocking in at only 2 minutes and 32 seconds, there’s a lot of bang for your buck here, as no moment goes by unnoticed. Filled with gorgeous melodies, sweet and saccharine lyrics, ‘Through Your Fingers’ throws back to the Soul and Motown records that stormed the charts in the ’60s and ’70s. A hint of Robert Smith lies under the surface and not the overly mopey, dark havoc of The Cure’s early releases, I’m talking about their upbeat, feel good love songs.

Fresh and fun, ‘Through Your Fingers’ has an all-encompassing aura around it, it’s hard to only listen to this track once. Maybe that’s down to its charm or its simple and stylish nature, I don’t know but one thing is for certain, I want more of it.

The new single ‘Through Your Fingers’ is released through Noon Pacific. Find on iTunes here.
