In Conversation with…FLING

It would seem as if they got lost in our time; displaced out of orbit, plucked from a dream and corporealized into existence. Fling are the dreamers that we wish we were, a radical visualisation of unrest – like The Beatles, Bowie, Primal Scream, Fling are here to change perceptions. To send our minds further into the unknown and remove any notion of creative insecurity. The peculiar, outlandish and the bizarre are all friends here.

The group of cosmic hippies have found their sway, and it seems that others would agree, their first release on Leeds’ Dance to the Radio charges in with an irresistible flavour and won’t be forgotten anytime soon. ‘Lookin’ Outta My Window’ is both quirky and fun without trying too hard, and memorable and boisterous without feeling overblown.

Charles and Jack recently sat down to speak with us about their new single, releasing music through Leeds imprint Dance to the Radio, their hometown and why their live shows are all about unity. Listen in below:

Fling will be performing at Live at Leeds on Saturday 29th April 2017 (Leeds Beckett Stage 2 – Dr. Martens Stage).
