WATCH: Bear’s Den – ‘Greenwoods Bethlehem’

Ahead of the UK leg of their ‘Red Earth & Pouring Rain’ tour, Bear’s Den reveal their next single to be the brilliantly atmospheric ‘Greenwoods Bethlehem’. Brought into vision with stunning live visuals that were filmed across continents in various venues over the course of their current tour, the video captures band and audience in a shared euphoria – one which can only be felt in its truest light, up, close and in person.

This rare glimpse into the band’s world accentuates the hypnotic but relaxed sensation which the song exudes, prompting with each listen an unwitting amount of humming along to the track’s easily memorable vocal lines. The melodic lead with offbeat drum rhythms builds and takes it to the bridge, both approach and arrival are delivered effectively and satisfyingly. In this song, the band takes the folksy side of Van Morrison to a modern level.

Turning to the lyrics, they tell a story of a love that’s lost. A love once shared, now, sadly unrequited. Andrew Davie delivers the lyrics in a heartfelt manner with a soft yet gritty voice. The more you listen to the mesmeric single, the more interested in its story and the band you will become.

The new single ‘Greenwoods Bethlehem’ is released on 7th April via Communion Records.
