Track of the Day

Even legal battles won’t stop noise-pop makers EAT FAST, formerly EAT, from roaring ahead. Their new release ‘Stammer’ rallies from the get-go and doesn’t let up for its two minute, sixteen second summation.

EAT FAST represent freedom. On the surface it’s easy to say that the band hide behind layers upon layers of fuzz, but within that shredding static is their rebellion. They aren’t the first to do this, true. But EAT FAST are damn good at getting loud. Their songs are abrasive without losing touch of melody, reckless in spite of their anthemic tendencies and scene-starting without the huge ego. ‘Stammer’ cuts through with vocal power punches of sweetly-tempered raspy howls and whirring melody lines. Simply it’s instant and direct, we like it a lot.

EAT FAST will be playing their first batch of live shows this May, see below for dates.

18th May LONDON Old Blue Last
19th May LONDON The Finsbury
20th May BRIGHTON The Fishbowl
