INTRODUCING: Filter Distortion

Ian Hall, Wesley Hughes and Phil Morton make up Liverpudlian electo-pop outfit, Filter Distortion. They have expertly crafted a sound that stands alone from the rest, a really exciting find I must say. A band not to be missed.

Filter Distortion have seriously worked hard, having self produced and released many songs, all which are available to buy on iTunes as we speak. Filter Distortion are bringing 80s electro back, having been once a very prominent sound, it is now making it’s way back to our airwaves in a big way and Filter Distortion are one of the best I come across so far.

The new single, Lacey, which was just released earlier this month, is surely their biggest yet. A good combination of sweet synths and overarching melodies, that can’t help but remind you of the greats, Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys. Their music is made up of the slightest intricacies, making for a very complex and ground breaking sound. That is sure to fuel the soundtracks to many a good night out and for sure, is the making of a great gig.
