Leeds electro-pop trio Caro thump through frenetic new single, ‘Eyes On The Ground’ with a scratched-up pulse for jerking twists and shouts.
The contorted track fuzzes with flirtation, as robotic bass rubs through frenzied verses, a character distracted and lost.
Verses are satisfyingly spacious but comfortably claustrophobic, as melodic guitar activates a pretty juxtaposition of computerised love and digital funk to programme chorus smiles across a face. ‘Eyes On The Ground’ summons a 21st century pop with vintage hiss and buzz, tuning the television to terrestrial static delights, to cure the coughing cyborg of solitude’s infection.
Caro challenge the guilt of social disassociation, building a funk pop machine to take out the trash.
