FESTIVAL PREVIEW: A Carefully Planned Festival #6

The weekend of A Carefully Planned Festival is quickly approaching and if you’ve got a ticket you’ll be wanting to work out who to see, where to go and also make room to experience some surprises along the way.

This year, the festival organisers have made your choices that little bit more exciting and that much more difficult – booking over 160 acts that will be housed in 9 different venues. So chances are you’ll want to take in the sights from the whole lot.

Especially when you consider all the artists that are playing over the weekend: from Tusks’ subtle ambient electronica, minimalist pop from Newcastle’s Ajimal to the pounding power pop of grunge troop Bruja. There’s plenty more highlights to soak up too with Allusondrugs, Baby In Vain, Her’s, Gideon Conn, Fish Tank, Happy Accidents, Mother, Joanna Gruesome, Jo Rose, Johnny Foreigner, Lake Komo, Field Studies, Oh Boy and The Orielles all featured on the bill for the two-dayer.

The festival takes place over Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October, pitching up residence in Manchester’s gloriously quirky Northern Quarter. Bringing all the best new music to the following venues: Night & Day Cafe, Soup Kitchen, The Castle Hotel, Gullivers, Aatma, Idle Hands, Mint Lounge, Texture and Marble.

Listen below to a playlist put together by the festival team, featuring every single act that is performing this year. Handy, right?

Weekend tickets are priced at a measly £20 (for a whole two days of live music) and day tickets each cost £14. Head to Dice or Billetto for all ticketing information. For more on A Carefully Planned Festival head to their Website.
