Track of the Day

Appearing from out of the depths of Yorkshire is a promising young band named NGOD. The quintet hail from Bradford, and are primed and ready to make a name for themselves outside of their hometown. New single ‘Blue’ is a feel good, supercharged bolt of alt-rock that is no less indebted to its addictive charms than it is to its spine-tingling rhythms.

The track may not offer much to update the genre but it sure does get those hips shaking and those bones quaking. ‘Blue’ feels like The Bohicas being spun through a washing machine and then being thrown out with all the groove of The Black Keys, wholly thrilling with a rampant edge. It’s still only early days for NGOD but if they continue on like this, then we all better watch out.
