Track of the Day

TRACK OF THE DAY: Augustines – ‘Are We Alive’

Augustines return with new single ‘Are We Alive’, their first release in two years, and it’s a jubilant homecoming.

Bolshy guitars and thundering drums rally straight into action, rendering any sort of hesitation null immediately. The rebellious nature of the instrumentation is echoed in all aspects – lyrically, vocally and in the band’s conviction – resulting in a beastly and muscular rocker that quakes roaringly, by the might of McCarthy’s throaty call. This is just the first taste to come from Augustines forthcoming third record, and if this is anything to go by then buckle up, as we’re in a for a thrill ride.

‘Are We Alive’ is available on iTunes here.

Augustines will be playing the following dates in April, in support of the new single.

Tuesday 19th April: LONDON, Electric Ballroom Tickets
Wednesday 20th April: MANCHESTER, Academy 2 Tickets
