Stockholm’s Oracle North capture the atmospheric in new single ‘Communion’. A stark but immensely mesmeric electro-indie haunter, its patchwork of sounds will linger long after listening.
The visuals meld together imagery of the human body with visceral, and at times unnerving, captures of darkly-toned rituals. Choppy cuts and extreme close up’s play a part in the storytelling, just as much as the words being sung, all of which evoke a mind vexed by finalities and endings. Leading to a much more resonant subject matter that is occupied within, of the existential. Communion may not be light watching, but it is the thought-provoking and intriguing visuals that will have every viewer glued to their screens.
