LA six piece, NO, have really caught my attention over the last couple of days with their lush, moody introspective indie rock. A band that surely have that something ‘special’ about them, and that’s why they’ve made Bitter Sweet Symphonies ‘Hype of the Day’.
Think Interpol and The National but with that added pizazz. Their music is filled with big indie guitars, expansive soundscapes, and brooding emotional depth from frontman, Bradley Hanan Carter. NO may be new to you and me, but they have been playing together since 2010 and have build up quite a back catalogue of tracks, but I do see things starting to heat up more for these guys in 2014.
Their latest single, Leave the Door Wide Open, is out now and you can listen to it below, a passionate, powerful blend of indie rock with all the optimism that you’d expect from NO and more, accentuated with romantic pop hooks. A brilliant track in all rights that will bury itself way deep into your head in no time at all, taken from their upcoming full length, El Prado, set for release on 18th February via. Arts & Crafts.
