Manchester’s LVLS (commonly known as Loveless) just unveiled their latest single over the weekend, entitled Echoes and have spoiled us by releasing their latest EP, Teenager, a day earlier than expected and it certainly doesn’t disappoint, arguably their most ambitious and diverse material to date.
LVLS are definitely one of Manchester’s hidden gems, whom are known for their infusion of stadium rock with delicious undercurrents of dark pop, they revel in their darkness and take pride in their yearnings for sounds of the 80’s from such stalwarts as The Cure and Roxette. Which to me makes the perfect combination for the inner-workings of a great band.
Echoes is a delicious slice of anthemic guitar pop, with an expansive soundscape and haunting female harmonies, easily one of their best songs to date. The song is charged with passion and ferocity, it really does show the potential that this band has, to be a big name, they just need to heard.
Echoes is taken from their latest EP, Teenager, which you can purchase here. LVLS have a few tour dates lined up across the country for the coming months, for the full list see below.
