HYPE OF THE DAY: I Set The Sea On Fire

Sheffield indie folk funk five piece, I Set The Sea On Fire, just recently released their début single, Monsters, and let me tell you now it’s marvellous. One of the best début’s I’ve heard in a long while. They are surely set for greatness this lot and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

I actually came across this band just last night, thanks to BBC Introducing and I was immediately impressed with their song, Monsters. It’s a big slice of delicious, exuberant melodies, part courtesy to their use of joy inducing trumpets, but also not forgetting the two part harmonies that melt on your ears like a ray of sunshine.

The song flutters and floats around in your head, and just when you don’t think it could get any better, the song heats up and takes it to the next level, you cannot help but get swept up in the revelry and absolute joy of this song. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face and get you dancing. An absolute stunner. Monsters is available to buy now on iTunes and at all other good music retailers.
