LVLS (Loveless) are a band from Manchester, consisting of Jay Gibb, Joanne McClung, Paul Mawhinney and Gaylord Knott. Their recent début EP, entitled Broken Art, is available to purchase now, featuring the intensely catchy It’s Only Love, is a must buy. They are currently working away in the studio on their full length LP, so exciting times ahead for these guys.
Their sound is nothing but spectacular, expect big stadium-like fillers, with their use of anthemic guitar riffs and melodious drum sections. LVLS have created the perfect sound, combining deliciously dark undertones with fun, feverous pop. Great for just losing yourself in the music and letting go, their music is so infectious that it can’t help but make you want to dance.
Their new offering Chapel Steps, shows a slight change in pace for the band, as their sound continues to evolve. Chapel Steps provides a more sombre, reflective outlook than their previous material has done, and also the vast soundscape of the song further intensifies and amplifies this to allow us to relish in its beauty, as the song progresses.
LVLS, are another great Manchester band, looking forward to hearing more from these guys in the future and we don’t even have to wait long to see them play live. They are set to play their next headline gig at The Castle in Manchester on Sunday 5th May, so make sure you get yourself down there. I highly recommend going seeing them; it will make for a great night out.
