TRACK OF THE DAY: Swimming Tapes – ‘Pyrenees’

London-based dreamy guitar pop band Swimming Tapes have done it all over again with their latest single ‘Pyreness;’ a delightfully dreamy mix of jangly guitars and serene vocals. Opening with intricate guitar melodies and addictive drum beats, singers Robbie Reid and Louis Price’s refreshing vocal tones add an extra allure to the already atmospheric song.

Having announced a UK and Ireland tour for April this year, and collaborated with Paddy Baird for their debut album Morningside, Swimming Tapes are set for big things this year.

Commenting on the new single, the band say: “Pyrenees is a sweet little bop of a pop song. It might only clock in at two and a half minutes but we still managed to get two different guitar solos in there. The song’s about what follows an argument with a loved one, that middle of the night feeling when you realise actually you’re the one in the wrong. Shit.”
