‘Bliss’ is a wonderful, swirly piece of laid-back dream-pop, where the deep, relaxed vocals of Grant Williams echo tranquil, above serene synth-setting. Lifting gently in the choruses, then softly settling back into a dream-groove state in the verses, the track is hypnotic from start to finish. No subtle change is too jarring; yet each movement in its melody is notable and mesmerising.
Drawing inevitable comparisons to the likes of The Cure and The Railway Children, there are qualities to the song which are undoubtedly anthemic. ‘Bliss’ is a hazy summer’s day banger, submerged in distortion and calm 80’s indie-pop melody.
The track is the follow up single to their chiming and emotionally gripping debut track, ‘New Age’ which racked up over 65k Soundcloud plays in three weeks and gained radio support from the likes of Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Introducing London.
‘Bliss’ is available on all digital outlets now.
