LISTEN: ISLE – ‘Kid’

Scotland has bared some of the biggest synth pop exports in recent times, namely Chvrches and Prides, now we add ISLE to that distinguished list of pop makers and hip shakers. The duo’s latest hands-in-the-air stomper, ‘Kid’, reaches timely heights in mere seconds.

The band is comprised of two multi-medium musicians, producer Liam John Rutherford and drummer Ben Singer. ‘Kid’ spearheads their cinematic vision and blazes into focus with a languid melody line, that soon is cocooned by dynamic alt-pop production. Snaps of snare, hits of emotionally-led vocal bombast and winding guitar add texture and friction to the infectious lead keyboard line. ‘Kid’ is sky-scraping pop made for blasting out at full volume over those expansive vistas.

‘Kid’ is taken from ISLE’s debut EP ‘Grey’, available now to purchase on iTunes here.
