Screaming Peaches formerly known as MOVIE, reveal a funk-enthused new track under their new moniker. ‘Sad Kid’ spins a disco entranced pop-groove, it’s the first single from the band’s forthcoming EP Rough Music.
Taking influence from the uplifting energy of Michael Jackson, Screaming Peaches’ front man Theo Spark explains the tracks content, “The songs lyrics are an attempt to console myself and make myself feel better/laugh and a gentle reminder never to take anything too seriously.”
‘Sad Kid’ is enough to lift your feet off the ground and land a care-free feel on its listener, with spirals of rousing, grooving bass and an infectious sparkle of the 80s dance-floor.
