Deadbeat Darling are a four-piece from New York comprising of Joseph King, Mohit Bhansali, Evan Howard and Ian Everall. At it’s core, their sound is very much Rock n Roll, fuelled with elements of surf and dub, but at the same time often tinged with a frivolous but gritty edge. Making Deadbeat Darling the band that the music scene has been craving for, with their eclectic sound and heavy-hitting persona, they are sure to be one of 2013 biggest successes.
It’s good to see a band that is taking a risk and experimenting with different sounds because after all that’s what music is all about. Their latest album, The Angel’s Share, released last year was recorded and produced by Grammy award winning Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Gomez and The Charlatans). So I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys in the future.
