Hilang Child delivers a one-off collaboration with JM∆C in the form of new single ‘Solve’.
The London-based, half-Welsh, half-Indonesian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has impressed over the last few years with a handful of singles. This release comes in the run up to his debut album, seeing him collaborate with friend and producer JM∆C. They have followed each other’s work closely for years and having initially started as an attempt to step back from their respective projects, this song was recorded over a single day in JM∆C’s home studio.
The track combines Hilang Child’s organic textures with the electronic pulses of JM∆C’s work. Enchantingly soft vocals work with melancholic guitar chords and an emphatic, granulated synth to craft a track that emanates sombre introspection.
Hilang Child’s debut album is currently being mixed by the producer-artist Kwes, the man behind tracks from the likes of Loyle Carner, Solange and Micachu.
